Jim Thorpe, PA

On Sunday some friends invited us to come with them on a scenic train ride, just as we did last year, to see the fall foliage.  It turned out to be not just a train ride.  This little town is adorable.  Quaint shops, lots of history, and great walking tours.  It looked like a Normal Rockwell painting brought to life.

Friendly Conductor

Then after the train ride we discovered the old town jail offered tours.  Of course it, and the entire town, was decorated for Halloween!  So yeah, we toured the prison.

The Dungeon Cells.  No really, that is what they are.

The gallows used to hang prisoners.

The tiny one way mirror used to view the inmates at meal time.

Then Matt found this pretty church.  Which he managed to get us into.

Like I said, like a Norman Rockwell painting that is moving.  Such a cute little town.

Look, Audrey!  A dead something!  Always.  always.  Just for you.
